Yesterday was National Beer Day. One of the finest holidays, if I do say so myself.
Unfortunately, I had to work yesterday…but that didn’t keep me from cracking open a cold one when I got out of work. Didn’t feel like pushing too hard, so the one beer I had was a non-alcoholic beer. But beer is beer…and this one STILL counts. In fact, if you haven’t given non-alcoholic beers a chance, you should try one. Some are good, some others are not. We have a whole YouTube series dedicated to it (see below).
The beer I had for National Beer Day yesterday (04/07/2021) was “Upside Dawn Golden Ale”, a Non-Alcoholic Golden Ale by Athletic Brewing Company out of Stratford, Connecticut. You can see my review below. My wife (www.lifeofhayley.com) and I also did a video review/comparison of this drink to Bell’s “No, Yeah” Golden Ale. Of course, I just had to have a drink on National Beer Day 2021 (alcoholic or not). Was there another motive to it? Indeed, there was. It came in the way of an Untappd Badge that you could get ONLY if you checked in a beer yesterday.
We all at Universe of Adventures celebrated National Beer Day in different ways. One beer stooge had several good beers, including a Bell’s Two Hearted. One couldn’t drink anything, but checked in a Miller Lite anyway (I mean, how many of those have some of us had and never checked in?). Some of my other friends that haven’t been introduced as Beer Stooges (but are a part of the Stooge Group) had some good beer. Hayley, of course, doesn’t like beer…so she didn’t have anything. She celebrated in spirit though…
Now, I wish I could have celebrated National Beer Day in a bit more “style”, but alas, I had to work. Maybe I’ll celebrate this weekend with some good beer fun. We shall see! Either way, did you celebrate National Beer Day? What was your brewski of choice if you did?
